Huff Hills Ski Area is located less than 20 miles south of Bismarck, Mandan, North Dakota and, is the state’s largest. This beautiful North Dakota skiing area is located on the western slope of the Missouri River, and offers North Dakota skiing and snowboarding for the whole family.
Huff Hills Ski Area features a 450' vertical drop, 16 runs (the longest of which is 3/4 of a mile long), 4 lifts (including 2 double chairlifts, snowmaking coverage for more than 80% of the area and a base lodge with food service area, and two floors of seating. A beginners learning area and ski and snowboard rentals round out the amenities.
Huff Hills Ski Area normally opens around Thanksgiving weekend, and in a typical season lasts until the 2nd or 3rd week in March. Huff Hills Ski Area receives an average of 40 inches of natural snow every winter.
