Devil's lake is a fresh water lake in Ramsey county in North Dakota, US. It is the largest natural water body in the state while the second in North Dakota after artificial Lake Sakakawea. Devil's Lake in North Dakota is famous for the greatest duck and goose hunting in the world. With the lake most known for its fantastic fishing, white-tail deer hunting is also very famous. The walleye and the pike fishing in summer is great. Even better is catching the Jumbo perch and whopping walleye in ice. The lake is shallow, saline and high in nutrients . Along with fishing the lake is also a destination for the other water sports activities. There are a number of boat ramps and other facilities to facilitate recreational activities on the lake. The Sullys Hill National Game Preserve located on the southern shore of the lake is a delight to visit. Grahams Island state park on an island in the lake will not allow anyone to get bored up. There are some other state parks and recreational areas which are worth visiting but they are closed during the flood season of the lake. |
