Information on Hawksnest Golf & Ski Resort:
At a summit elevation of more than 4,800 feet and a typical natural snowfall of more than 90 inches each winter, Hawksnest Ski Area offers some great skiing with a southern accent. Hawksnest is a great beginner and intermediate area. The beginner area has been redesigned and expanded. For great cruising trails, checkout Sock-Em-Dog and Right Stuff. Need an adrenaline rush? Get your heart pumping and your skis turning with a run down Top Gun, a new advanced slope. It has an average grade of 38 percent and is just short of one half mile. Snowboarders hit the tabletop and slide the rail, work the "S" turns and catch big air in the half-pipe.
