This complex of Art Deco buildings and plazas between 47th and
50th Streets and 5th and 7th Avenues exemplifies the culture and
identity of New York City. In addition to world-class architecture
and art, the Center is home to NBC Studios, a giant X-mas tree
every winter and a famous ice-skating rink.
Rockefeller Center was built in the Great Depression. A walking
tour of the Center gives visitors a chance to learn about this
complex’s fascinating history while getting a look at the
many works of art it contains. The nearby Radio City Music Hall
is another storied Art Deco masterpiece visitors may tour, with
a good chance of seeing the world-famous Rockettes. Family friendly
tours of the NBC studios allow guests a behind-the-scenes look
at the Today Show, Saturday Night Live and much more. Additionally,
Rockefeller Center is the home of year-round dining and shopping
fun.
