This oddly named New Jersey treasure
is home to several legends and even more natural attractions.
Located in the northwest portion of the state and lined with sweeping,
canopied hiking trails, Jenny Jump is well worth a stop.
Locals say the park is haunted by the ghosts of Native Americans
and early settlers who met their demise within the park’s
boundaries while protecting themselves or their land. This may
or may not be true, but whether or not you’re fascinated
by such legends shouldn’t affect your enjoyment of Jenny
Jump’s thorough beauty.
The trails here offer a good look at the park’s rocky terrain
and dramatic hardwoods. The population here is pretty small, although
weekends are picking up. Call ahead.
