Summer in the Edward B. Forsythe Refuge
Only nine miles north of Atlantic City, some may be shocked to stumble across this unaffected natural site.

The park’s most noteworthy attraction is probably the birds that come and go during spring and summer, during migration stop-offs. Wading birds and waterfowl adorn the marshy inland and the off coast waters. Large, menacing eagles, falcons and osprey can be seen perched high in trees or circling the grounds. And finally, sand pipers and other various beach birds scurry up and down in the surf.

The beachfront is clean and sandy, marked with dunes and slight vegetation. Fishing, crabbing and clamming are permitted.
