New Hampshire has a variable climate; daily and seasonal
temperatures are quite changeable. Theses variations are affected by
the state’s proximity to the ocean, to mountains, lakes and rivers.
New Hampshire experiences all four seasons. The summers are as short
and mild as the winters are long and cold (Mount Washington’s
weather station has recorded some of the coldest temperatures and strongest
winds in the continental United States). Spring is particularly pleasant,
and the autumn foliage is a major selling point for the state.
