A picturesque state with a long history by American Standards, New Hampshire has several appealing places to visit. Lake Winnipesaukee (supposedly “ lake of the Great Spirit” in the language of New Hampshire’s former Native American population) is the state’s largest lake, and a great spot for salmon fishing and 300+ islands to explore. The White Mountains National Forest, and the White Mountains themselves, is beautiful locations for enjoying the great outdoors. And don’t forget to get a snapshot of the “ Old Man of the Mountain”, a natural “ face” in the Franconia Notch.
