The Bellagio Conservatory, housed in the Bellagio Hotel in the
city of Las Vegas, Nevada, is one of the most elegant in the American
southwest. A staff of 129 design and maintain these botanical
gardens, which encompass 14,000 square feet. Each flower in the
room is replaced by an expert crew of horticulturalists every
2 weeks. Flowers for the Bellagio Conservatory are imported from
all over the continent and temporarily housed in a 27,000-square-foot
on-site greenhouse. The Bellagio Conservatory changes its exhibits
5 times a year for Chinese New Year, the Spring Celebration, the
Summer Garden Party, the Harvest Show and the Holiday Show.
The immense garden features winding pathways that provide guests
with a closer view of the abundant foliage and water features.
Guests who dine at the Cafe Bellagio may sit in an area that faces
the garden to enjoy the wonderful scenery. Located above the front
desk lobby is the glass sculpture "Fioro di Como," by
artist Dale Chihuly, which features more than 2,000 individually
blown glass pieces.
