As far as ultra-modern, sizeable
Nebraska State Parks go, it is difficult to rival Platte River.
There are a vast number of activity and accommodation options,
appealing any traveler with any extent of preferences.
For the overnight visitor there are primitive cabins configured
around a central bathhouse, modern cabins with linens, kitchenette
and bathroom, nearby camping at Louisville State Recreation Area
or Eugene T. Mahoney State Park and even teepee rentals. A vast
amount of provided recreation includes anything from the traditional
jaunt through the woods to modern water sports equipment at the
marina. This is truly a park for all ages, offering a plethora of things
to see and do, yet not distracting from the picturesque Nebraska
surroundings.
