The still waters of the Platte
Visitors to Nebraska soon find the Nebraska rivers are major source of recreational enjoyment. The Niobrara River is accessible from the town of Valentine, and is great for canoeing, as is the Elkhorn River and the Platte. For a real paddling challenge, try the aptly named Dismal River.
