Information on Showdown Ski Area:
Nestled high in the Little Belt Mountains of the Northern Rockies is Showdown Ski Area. With its uncrowded slopes, short lift lines and spacious sun-soaked decks, you will think of it as your own private mountain. The ideal combination of weather and location provides Showdown with dry, light powder on its challenging slopes and premier intermediate runs, as well as scenic beginner runs. Carve your way down Silverhorn, bash the bumps on Glory Hole, meander along the gently rolling Golden Goose, or test your skills in the new Terrain Park and half-pipe. Snowboarders, telemarkers and skiers of all ages will enjoy the variety of terrain offered here. Showdown's Ski School offers youth and adult programs and Women's Ski Weekend Workshops, a new program this season. Children 6 and under can participate in Showdown's SKIwee and SKIwee Hot Shots programs. There is also a Kids Stuff Day Care Center. The Base Lodge features Johnny K's Cookshack, The Hole-in-the-Wall Saloon, Skiers Edge Pro Shop and Showdown Rental Shop. The summit building provides fantastic views and serves sandwiches, salads and hot or cold drinks. There is a variety of lodging available in Neihart, Monarch, White Sulphur Springs or Great Falls.
