The Bridger Mountain Range is located
north of Bozeman, Montana. It is home to the excellent Bridger
Bowl Ski Area, which offers an incredibly varied Montana skiing
experience, including wide open terrain with long slopes, glades,
chutes, gullies and smaller bowls.
World-class “Expert Only” skiing can be had on Bridger's
famous "Ridge". Skiers and snowboarders who want to
access this terrain will have to hike 400 vertical feet above
the Bridger Lift. The ridge features steep chutes, rock cliffs,
and snowfields, endowing the area with some of the most challenging
skiing to be found in the country. Visitors take note: Ridge skiing
takes expert ability, the right equipment, a partner(s), and solid
knowledge of the terrain.
There’s more to do in the Bridger range than ski, however.
There's rock climbing, hiking, camping, mountain and road biking
and wildlife observation to enjoy. The mountain’s rivers
and streams provide whitewater rafting, kayaking and 1st rate
Montana fly-fishing. The nearby Yellowstone National Park is easily
accessed from The Bridger Mountains as well.
