Information on North End Lakes:

- Dickey, Frank, Murphy, Sophie, Tetrault and the Therriault Lakes all provide excellent fishing opportunities. These small lakes are highly productive which results in numerous oversized rainbows. Most of these lakes provide excellent fishing for trout in the 2 pound and up size class. These lakes are somewhat alkaline so the palatability of the fish is not good at times but they still provide an excellent fishing opportunity. Most folks use flies trolled from small rowboats or float tubes. Scud patterns on sinking lines seem to work very well. Spinners and small plugs fished in a similar fashion also work. There is also excellent ice fishing on these lakes during the winter months. Most of these lakes provide excellent rainbow fisheries, but there aware a couple of exceptions. Sophie Lake has pike and sunfish, Big and Little Therriault Lakes provide good fishing for cutthroats, while Dickey Lake provides fishing for bass and perch. Sophie Lake also has bull trout. Bull trout are listed on the Endangered Species List and need to be released unharmed but they still provide an excellent angling opportunity.
