Johnson’s Shut-Ins State Park

This is an interesting place to witness the power of Mother Nature. Billions of years ago when the rocks here were initially formed by volcanic ash, water was trapped in some regions, resisting flow. Since then, water has carved out natural waterslides, canyons and caves and left a versatile vacation spot.

There are only one hundred sites on which to camp, so this popular spot fills up rather quickly. If you are into rock climbing, hiking and general exploration of natural phenomenon, this is the perfect spot.
