Located approximately fifty miles
from the historic gateway arch is a monument to history that goes
much further back in time. Cuivre State Park is a marvel, located
extremely close to the city and yet remaining one of Missouri’s
most rugged and untouched sites.
Careful conservation and upkeep make this park an important referential
tool in regard to Missourian history. Several endangered species
are protected within the borders of river, which flows through
the land, creating Big Sugar Creek and other exploration sites.
