Trail Description:
Especially in Spring and Summer, you'll soon be convinced that the trail is aptly named. A range of habitats is covered by the trail, from wooded uplands to riparian area. The remains of Civil War earthworks can still be seen high on a hill that overlooks Current River. Watercress Spring flows year 'round.

Travel Information
Trailhead Directions: Take Hwy 60 to Van Buren, MO; turn on Watercress Road to the National Park Service office. Follow the paved road 1/3 mile down to the campground, on the east bank of Current River.
