There are hundreds of Bear Caves all over the world, but this Missouri cave is truly exceptional. It is the only show cave in Missouri. This is, because it is not a common karst cave, but one of very few caves rare Tufa caves in the area, a primary cave that was formed together with the surrounding rock.

The cave is entered through the gift shop building and left through a second entrance. A waterfall close to the exit is probably the reason for the existence of the cave and the Missouri waterfall is already working on the next one.
