Strictly for those on foot, this
trail moves through slightly thicker regions. As it snakes through
the DeSoto National Forest approximately 22 miles, it’s
visitors will notice a vast array of vegetation and wildlife.
This trail is carefully maintained and thorough attempts are made
to keep the nearby wildlife intact.
Native Mississippi vegetation such as pitcher plants, tall pines
and even the occasional wild orchids adorn the trail. Camping
is allowed, but only at a sizeable distance from the path, for
appearance’s sake. The surface of the trail is natural,
boot-packed earth, so watch your step.
