Minnesota Weather

Minnesota Home | Minnesota Sitemap
Minnesota experiences extreme climates, both in terms of severe weather and in terms of temperature. Cool falls give way to snow as early as late October. Minnesota is famous for the harshness of its winters, with their bitter, freezing temperatures, heavy snows and occasional blizzards. The spring is a welcome warm up, but it also ushers in severe weather in the form of floods from melting snow, hail, whirlwinds and tornados. Summers are humid and sometimes experience 100+ heat waves, though the shores of Lake Superior remain chilly. As far as precipitation goes, any Minnesotan will tell you never to count on a dry day.
