Location of the Sturgeon River Trail: 9-14 miles north of Chisholm off Hwy 73, on FR 279, FR 703, and CR 65 (multiple access points)
Camping and Backpacking Opportunities: Features 22 miles of trail. Motorized vehicles are not allowed. Beginner and intermediate cross-country ski trail. Ski trail groomed and tracked periodically. Solitude. Diversity of wildlife,trees, and vegetation. Two Adirondack shelters. Summer hiking/camping/fishing. Scenic views of Sturgeon River.

Trailhead Directions: Drive 9 miles north on Highway 73. Turn left on Forest Road 279. Parking lot at corner. Drive 10.5 miles north on Highway 73. Turn left on Forest Road 703. Parking lot along highway. Drive 12 miles north on Highway 73. Turn left on County Road 65. Drive 1.3 miles to parking lot. Drive 14.5 miles north on Highway 73. Park off the highway on east side-� mile north of County Road 688 jct. Trail starts on west side of highway. This lot may not be plowed in winter.
