 Como Park has played a vital role in meeting the recreational needs of residents of Saint Paul, Minnesota for over a century. Frederick Nussbaumer, Superintendent of Parks, worked tirelessly to create an outdoor haven for the area's urban population from 1891 to 1922. The park still continues to carry out this original vision even today.
The Midway Parkway shelter seats roughly 50 people, has electricity, a large double grill, a drinking fountain, restrooms and a play area. No tents are allowed in this picnic area.
Como Park Midway Pavilion and the 1199 Midway Parkway picnic pavilions sit side. Each side seats about 125 people and both sides have a kitchen with a gas stove, sinks, electricity and a serving counter.

Historic Streetcar Station was built in 1985. It houses an interpretive museum about the Twin Cities Streetcar Line and Como Park. The museum is open to the public on Sundays from noon to 4:00 pm. |
