This is a great place to explore
on water. Kayakers frequent the channels, weather permitting,
for winding paths between islands and stunning views of Lake Superior.
There are thirty six islands in all, some more desolate than other,
so plotting out specifics is a good idea. Local small communities
have plenty of accommodation options, regardless of your preference
or budget.
Sailing is also popular. You can push off from one of many local
docks and weave between Michigan’s pristine, cool climate
