Blackstone River and Canal Heritage State Park

The Blackstone Canal
Once home to several mills and ensuing mill towns, Blackstone now serves as a prime outdoor recreation site amidst what’s left of places like Millville, Uxbridge and Goat Hill.

The best way to see the Park is from a canoe. This lazy river is ideal for floating under stone bridges and past farms, surrounded by the overgrowth of nature. Hiking and biking are also welcome, and serve as a great means of traversing the thousand acre grounds. For an inspiring natural setting, check out Blackstone Gorge, a nearby rocky river trail and canoe passage. Or stop by the River Bend Visitors Center for a bit of background before putting in.
