This is the Northeast United States’
largest plot of nationally recognized land. Also known as The
Green Valley or The Last Green Valley, it encapsulates over thirty-five
small towns.
Green Valley is sort of the natural barrier between the major
cities of Boston and Washington D.C. It is actually quite a feat
to have remained so undaunted over such a long period of expansion
in this part of the world. There are various historic sites positioned
throughout the region, citing an era that does not seem so far
gone.
The Quinebaug and Shetucket Corridor also contains plenty of hiking
trails and camping opportunities. It is a vast park, so set aside
plenty of time to explore.
