Old-fashioned Nantucket
Nantucket is a thoroughly refurbished harbor town that has gained lots of national interest as a “tourist hub.” This label quickly gathers steam in the vacation industry, and it has sort of clogged up the entire region. If you can handle the crowds or you can stomach the slow season, Nantucket is still worthwhile.

With a plethora of restored houses, shops and other landmarks from around the town’s inception, Nantucket has a very old feel. Along with these tours and attractions are the museums, dedicated to the old industry that once thrived here. The wharf and Main Street also make interesting strolls, lined with shops and restaurants and all the little Nantucket trinkets you can fit in your bag.

Basically, tourism has replaced the aforementioned flourishing businesses of this cove, and the exchange is pretty evident. Overpriced but quirky, Nantucket will rightfully retain its tourist tag for centuries to come.
