Although getting around this throwback of a city is quite taxing, setting
aside some time to stroll the historic streets is well worth the effort.
Much of the city has grown up with the times, providing for an interesting
culmination of old world and the contemporary.
One of the main attractions is the Freedom Trail, a self-guided glimpse
of old Boston, once the nation’s eyes, ears, and brains. Another
is Fenway Park. Now a national treasure, the quirky architecture and
legendary past of this grand stadium get the public quite worked up
every summer.
There are also several museums, basketball, hockey, Harvard, an aquarium,
cruises in the harbor, and various multicultural entities like Chinatown
and the North End.
Boston has a score of accommodations, and is a very fun, original city.
The people are friendly, there is a great range of accommodations, and
the metro region balances well with the old world outskirts.
