Dans Mountain State Park is a day use park with rugged mountain terrain, and an Olympic-size pool. Nearby, Dans Rock affords a panoramic view of the surrounding region from a height of 2,898 feet. There is a mobility impaired accessible overlook (Cresap Monument) and accessible swimming pool. Dan's Mountain State Park offers an olympic-sized pool, a stocked pond, a lovely nature trail and a children's playground. In addition, the winter season brings skiers to the park. There is even an area of historic significance. The Maryland Department of Natural Resources routinely stocks the lake each spring with at least 1,000 trout.
