Maryland has a generally moderate climate. The temperature
varies in summer from mild to hot. The warmest month of July experiences
average temperatures of between 85 degrees F and 89 degrees F. Summer
is also the wettest season. Thunderstorms peak in the midsummer and
bring increased humidity between late summer and late fall. Nights are
generally cooler. Winters are snowy. Temperatures are moderate in the
east and south, but can get very cold in the western mountains. January
is the coldest month, averaging between 20 and 25 degrees F. |
