Muddy Creek Falls is located in a small, well-maintained Maryland state park. There are 2 or 3 miles of trails and many Maryland campsites that have modern bathhouses, electric hookups plus a dump station. It’s the 60-foot plunge that makes Muddy Creek Falls the tallest of Maryland waterfalls.
The river that flows through here is one of best Maryland whitewater rivers, with rapids and small waterfalls are every few feet. Early spring is the best time to view waterfalls, though early October is the peak of the autumn colors. This is a find place for picnicking and outdoor photography as well as boating and sightseeing.
