The Gulf Coast section of Louisiana sees most of its tourism in the summer season from April to September, but remains warm and inviting year-round, with the possible exception of falls hurricane season. Fishing in particular is possible in the off-season when rates go down.

Winter is also a popular time to visit Louisiana’s warm southern regions. Christmas, New Years and Mardi Gras follow hard on each others heals.
