The Gulf Coast section of Louisiana sees most of its tourism in the
summer season from April to September, but remains warm and inviting
year-round, with the possible exception of falls hurricane season. Fishing
in particular is possible in the off-season when rates go down.
Winter is also a popular time to visit Louisiana’s warm southern
regions. Christmas, New Years and Mardi Gras follow hard on each others
heals. Though there remains a great deal of reconstruction to be done
in the great city of New Orleans, people remain hopeful that the great
celebrations the city is famous for will return to their former glory.
