Designed by Jimmy Self, Bayou Barriere has 3 9-hole Louisiana golf courses that can be played in 3 18-hole combinations. These courses have been counted among the very best public courses in the New Orleans vicinity for over 3 decades, and have made it a must-visit for any family golf vacation.
All three courses at Bayou Barrier have broad, tree-lined fairways that lead to medium-sized greens. The easiest course is the 1st course, which features many short par 4’s. The 2nd course is the most difficult course thanks to the many water hazards which come into play on numerous holes; also, many other holes are lined with out-of-bounds stakes. The 3rd course tees off from the levy, and is of intermediate difficulty.
