Lake Tahoe Skiing

Lake Tahoe Home | Lake Tahoe Sitemap
Lake Tahoe California is a famous vacation destination for many reasons, but the heart of its fame is its world-class skiing. There are more Lake Tahoe ski areas than in any other place in North America. There are literally dozens of Lake Tahoe ski resorts with driving distance from one another. The fantastic vistas, perfect Lake Tahoe ski conditions and California sunshine make it an ideal skiing location.

There are many ways to ski Lake Tahoe, and many fine places to do so in. The Northstar is a family fun resort that features licensed childcare. The enormous Squaw Valley covers more than 4 thousand acres and 6 Sierra peaks, and features a 2,850-ft. vertical drop. The Sugar Bowl is a classic resort, and the location of California’s 1st chair-lift and gondola cart. And no one can beat the view from Heavenly.

The great drawback of Lake Tahoe’s many fine attributes is that it can be crowded and a bit pricey. Visitors should make arrangements in advance and search for bargains.
