Jumping feet first into Green River Lake
Green River Lake is located in south-central Kentucky, roughly 100 miles south of Louisville. But Green River Lake isn’t all about practicality; it’s also a popular Kentucky lake for water sports and fishing enthusiasts and a peaceful vacation-spot.

While it’s far from the largest of Kentucky lakes, Green River Lake covers 8,200 surface-acres lake with an average depth of 50 feet and nearly 250 miles of shoreline for visitors to enjoy. At the lake’s widest point it is 1 mile across.

Kentucky fishing, skiing and boating are all excellent on Green River Lake’s wide blue waters. Most visitors to the lake enjoy renting houseboats, floating cabins or condominiums to spend a few days doing and seeing all that Green River Lake has to offer.
