Hiking the Silver Creek Trail No. 1407:

The trail rises through heavily forested areas to the top of the Continental Divide. The trail is very popular with mountain bikers.

The trail passes through private property at the Kismuth mine. Please stay on the trail.

Travel Information
Trailhead Directions:

From Poncha Springs, CO travel south on Hwy 285 for approximately 4.5 miles. Turn right onto County Road 200 and travel south for 2 miles to FDR 201. Continue on FDR 201 for about 5 miles, passing through private property (Silver Creek Lakes). The road beyond the private property requires 4-wheel drive. The Silver Creek Trail adjoins the road at the intersection of FDR 201 and FDR 869.2 and continues west.
