Trail Description:

This is a heavily used trail. Motorcycles and hikers need to be considerate of each other.

Hiking the Pipeline Trail No. 668:

Temperatures are slightly cooler than Colorado Springs. Afternoon thunderstorms are common throughout the summer.

Drinking water is not readily available. Water from streams should be treated before use. Hikers are advised to carry an adequate supply.

Camping and Backpacking Opportunities:

Camping is permitted at undeveloped sites along the trail. Camping is recommended 300' of any trail or stream. Use no-impact camping techniques. Campfire permits are not required but please be sure your fire is dead out before you leave. Pack it in / Pack it out rule applies. Respect other trail users.

Trailhead Directions:

HIKING - About one-half mile past the intersection of North Cheyenne Canyon Rd., Gold Camp Rd. , and High Drive is the trailhead for FDT #667/7 Bridges. One and one-half miles up this trail FDT #668 begins.

MOTORCYCLES - One and one-half miles down FDR #379 / Frosty Park Road is where FDT #701 Foresters Trail begins. About one-eighth of a mile down this trail FDT #668 / Pipeline takes off to the right.
