Hiking the Longwater Trail No. 654:

Water is not available at the trailhead. It is recommended to carry extra drinking water on hot days. Backcountry water is available on the lower end in the South Platte River.

Travel Information
Trailhead Directions:

Turn off of the Tarryall road onto FDR 210. It may be difficult to locate the trailhead because this a popular four-wheel drive area. Continue on main road. The beginning of the trail follows the main road for the first mile. After this point, the trail becomes defined to a hiking trail marked by trail signs. After reaching the Platte River, the trail again follows four-wheel drive routes, connecting to FDR 220B. On y@ur return trip, hike the same trail back.
