Trail Description:
The trailhead is located at the top of High Drive on the left side of the road. The trail leads in a southwesterly direction. This is a 4 mile trail that leads to Jones Park. Trail is also known as "Captain Jacks" trail.
Hiking the
Jones Park Trail No. 667:
Motorcycles, foot and horse trail. The trail is moderately difficult and is open to motorcycles which are very often seen on the trail. Other trails will fork off this trail. It is recommended that motorcycles use this trail in summer months only because of snow depth. Temperatures are similar to Colorado Springs. Afternoon thunderstorms are common throughout the summer. Drinking water is not readily available. Water from streams should be treated before use. Hikers are advised to carry an adequate supply.

Camping and Backpacking Opportunities: Camping is permitted at undeveloped sites along the trail. Camping is recommended 300' of any trail or stream. Use no-impact camping techniques. Campfire permits are not required but please be sure your fire is dead out before you leave. Pack it in / Pack it out rule applies. Respect other trail users.
