There are (3) sites available for overnight camping. Water is NOT available. There are also (3) picnic sites available, trash service and restroom. The trailhead accesses West Peak, Vista Point, Levy-Krier and Apishipa trails.

Travel Information
Trailhead Directions:

From LaVeta, take state highway #12 (25 miles south) to county road #34 (5 miles) to Purgatorie campground. When reaching campground, turn in to the Northfork trailhead parking lot. Travel the Northfork trail approximately 3.5 miles to the junction of the Wildcat trail, travel Wildcat for .75 mile to jct. of Coal Creek trail. The intersections/junctions are un-marked and obscure.

From LaVeta, take state highway #12 (south) to county road #422, (travel 4 miles) to the Blue Lake campground entrance, turn left onto FDR #436 (travel 1.5 miles) to Northfork trailhead. FDR #436 requires four-wheel drive vehicles. Travel Northfork trail (1) mile to the junction/intersection of the Wildcat trail (travel .75 mile) to Coal Creek trail.
