One of two Iowa sites recognized by the National Parks
Service, this 190-acre site is dedicated to the strangely unique legacy
of our nation’s 31st president. Tours of the grounds are available
and popular in the summer, giving visitors a glimpse at Hoover’s
family life and upbringing.
The beautiful, sweeping 81-acre plain encapsulated by the park’s
borders is a fitting summary of life in this region of the country,
specifically Iowa. Accented by a small home and blacksmith shop, the
solitude and calm of the Midwest is appropriately eminent. |
