Lake Minnewashta in Iowa is located
just west of Chanhassen, Iowa. Lake Minnewashta Regional Park
is a 340-acre park located on the shores of Lake Minnewashta.
Recreational facilities thee include a swimming beach, bathhouse,
picnic shelters, volleyball courts, a creative playground for
younger children and a concession stand. 2 boat accesses located
within the park can accommodate up to a limit of 35 vehicles with
boat trailers (when the boat trailer parking is full, no additional
watercraft launching is permitted until a parking space becomes
available).
In addition to the water-sports activities there are 5 miles of
Iowa hiking trails to enjoy through forests and prairies along
the edge of Lake Minnewashta. In the winter there are separate
trails are groomed for both skiing and walking.
Anglers can enjoy Iowa fishing off the pier that is located west
of the beach area at Picnic Area #1. This pier also offers a scenic
view of beautiful Lake Minnewashta. |
