 The 18-hole Oakland Acres course at the Oakland Acres Golf Club, Inc. is located in Grinnell, Iowa. Oakland Acres Golf Course features nearly 5,880 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 69. The course rating is also 69, with a slope rating of 114. With a flat terrain front 9 and a hilly back 9 and 3 ponds that supply water hazards, this is one of the best Des Moines Iowa golf courses.
Oakland Acres provides great golf Midwest style. This tough Iowa golf course has many challenging holes, including the difficult 8th hole, a 430-yard, par 4 that requires a blind tee shot over a hill.
Cliff Thompson designed the Oakland Acres golf course over 30 years ago. Oakland Acres Iowa Golf Course’s completed redesign opened in 1995. General Manager Greg Mielak manages the course.
