Salamonie Lake The lake is located in Wabash and Huntington counties in northeastern Indiana, about 34 miles southwest of Ft. Wayne, Ind. Salamonie Lake exists as a cooperative management effort between the Corps of Engineers and the Indiana Department of Natural Resources. The lake has 2,665 acres of water in the summer for fishing, boating, swimming and other water-related activities. The total project includes almost 12,000 acres of land and water, which offers a variety of recreational opportunities year around.
