The reservoir is located in Huntington and Wells Counties on the Wabash River. Kil-So-Quah SRA is located off U.S. 224 two miles east of Huntington and six miles west of Interstate 69. Little Turtle SRA is located two and one-half miles southeast of Huntington off State Road 5 approximately one-half mile south of the J. Edward Roush Dam. Roush Lake, one of the three Upper Wabash Valley lakes operates primarily as a unit with Mississinewa and Salamonie Lakes to control flood waters along the Wabash River Basin, and secondarily with other lakes downstream in reduction of lower Wabash and Ohio River floods. The lake provides benefits to nearly 60,000 acres of agricultural lands and general recreation activities associated with water, hunting and fishing.
