Rafters, anglers and other water sports enthusiasts
in the Hoosier State know thy can count on Indiana rivers to provide
fun and flotation for the whole family. From the Iroquois
River to the (locally) famous Wabash
River to the mighty Ohio River, Indiana has access to some
fine Midwestern waterways.
Iroquois
River:
This slow, swampy river winds throughout Indiana’s
wetlands, taking canoeists on a wonderful, scenic ride.
Wabash
River:
The Wabash River is the largest of Indiana’s
rivers, flowing from western Ohio and across the state.
Ohio River:
The mighty Ohio is a major tributary
of the Mississippi that flows along the southeastern border of
Indiana.
Muscatatuck River:
The Muscatatuck is a nice
little river with a funny name and one of the state’s most
pleasant waterways. |
