Fishing on Tipsaw LakeIndiana’s Tipsaw Lake in Hoosier National Forest is one of the best recreational Indiana lakes. Swimming is excellent at Tipsaw Lake, where visitors can enjoy a beautiful swimming beach with a modern bathhouse with showers, dressing facilities, and restrooms that remains open from Memorial Day through Labor Day. This Indiana beach provides a winning combination of sand and sun, as well as shady hillsides. No glass containers or pets are permitted on the beach or lawns. Visitors take note: there are no lifeguards on duty at Tipsaw Lake.

Indiana fishing for bass, catfish, and panfish is a popular activity at Tipsaw Lake. Only electric motors are permitted. The boat ramp and boat ramp parking lot are open all year.

The Tipsaw Lake Recreation Area is also offers camping in a peaceful forest setting. The campgrounds are equipped with surfaced pads, flush toilets, piped water and nearby showers. Electrical hookups are provided for trailers and motor homes. Sites for groups of up to 100 are available by reservation.
