Idaho Falls Idaho is a pleasant little city along the
Snake River with many outdoor adventures to offer its guests. The proximity
of the Snake River, the Grand Tetons, forests, fields and streams is
enough to keep any outdoorsman/woman busy for days.
Boating down the Snake River is peaceful and serene, and the trout fishing
is top-notch. Landlubbers can talk a nice riverfront stroll down the
2.5-mile paved River Walk and enjoy some of the same scenery. Hikers
can choose between forest paths and mountain trails up the Grand Tetons.
Roughing it isn’t so rough at the 7N Ranch RV Resort & Campground
or the Heise Hot Springs, where you can golf, fish and tour natural
mineral ponds. Big Game Hunters can even bag an Elk near Idaho Falls.
Some of the states best skiing can be found at Kelly Canyon Ski Resort,
only an hour or so from town.
Guests can learn about the city’s past with the Idaho Falls Historic
District Walking Tours. The Ridge Ave Historic District and the Idaho
Falls Historic Churches tours are especially interesting.
There are a number of family friendly attractions to benefit from in
Idaho Falls Idaho. The Tautphaus Park Zoo’s Primate Discovery
Center is home to eight species of Cotton-Topped Tamarins and is only
a short distance from the Idaho Falls Skate Park. Cowboys and girls
will be happy to know that the Mountain River Ranch has live Wild West
shows all year round, and the War Bonnet Round-up Rodeo is the oldest
Pro Rodeo in Idaho. Come and enjoy the Sticky Walls, Put-Put and Go-Karts
at The Riot Zone Family Fun Park, if you can.
