Wheatgrass Bench is a beach in Power County, Idaho. The county was named for the hydroelectric power generated at American Falls. The Snake River and American Falls Reservoir are the major hydrologic features here. American Falls reservoir is a major recreational attraction in the region.

This really splendid beach is a great pastime that gets visitors to hit the waters. There may not be very many lodgings in the neighborhood. You have to book in advance and make reservations especially in the summers. Compressor Station Bench close by and the great whitewaters of Portneuf River are added attractions.

If you come from Pocatello then the terrain will surely impress you. It will be lush in May after the rains but July onwards you have lesser precipitation.
