Amazingly Idaho has some wonderful beaches. With 140 lakes and nearly 2,000 miles of rivers and streams you have interesting spots that imitate ocean front beaches. Water sports lovers can spend endless hours enjoying water activities here.

With six major lakes and five large rivers Idaho has abundant swimming beaches and water holes. Some offer sandy beaches too. Inviting sandy strips of beaches often with life guards provide the perfect waterscape for wading, splashing and swimming.

Most beaches are open to the public and family-friendly. Decide on a beach that attracts you and head there with family or friends to take a clean break. Explore the sandy beaches having designated swimming areas.

North Idaho offers great fun on whitewater rapids. Whether you're looking for wild rapids or gentle floats on the lake – you have it all here. You really will have no problem finding the right beach to splash, boat or fish. Check out these beaches.
   
 

Bear Lake:  Turquoise-blue waters feature clean white sandy beaches. Recreation here includes swimming and  overnight camping.

Sandpoint City Beach: Clean and beautiful you have here some great scenic views that you enjoy while having fun on the sand and water. 

Wheatgrass Bench Beach: This beach is heavenly in the summers. The azure waves literally beckon you to step inside the waters.

Boulder Beach: This beach is designed to be a cool aquatic recreation spot. Located in North Idaho its a great summer time  destination.

Silver Beach: Sparkling waters and the lovely Idaho coastline leave you feeling enchanted on Silver Beach to relax and rejuvenate yourself.

Beaver Bay Beach: This is an enchanted spot offering an out of this world beach where you may swim, picnic and camp. 
 
Spokane River Beach:  The sandy beach offers a boat launch and group picnic facilities. Spend time enjoying the facilities or just dipping around.

Honey Suckle Beach: Located on Hayden Lake, this is a nice family friendly beach.  Its the perfect beachy spot to splash, boat or fish.
