The Maui Ocean Center is a state-of-the-art, 3-acre marine park on the island of Maui dedicated to the preservation and wellbeing of Hawaii’s marine life. The Center is centrally located overlooking the Pacific Ocean at Ma‘alaea, just minutes from of all major resort areas, making it one of the most popular Maui attractions.
Visitors can enjoy more than 60 self-paced interactive exhibits, including the largest collection of live coral displays in the nation, elusive garden eels, majestic lionfish, vibrant Hawaiian wrasse, green sea turtles, sharks, rays and more. Curious visitors can also learn all about Hawai‘i’s natural history and cultural heritage. Digital audio guides, available at the park’s information booth, provide facinating on the animals that call Hawai‘i home, and expert naturalists are always nearby to answer questions.
There are also dining and shopping opportunities at the Center. There are 2 restaurants, the Seascape Ma‘alaea Restaurant and Reef Café, as well as the Maui Ocean Center Store.
